As I had a day off work today….I thought it was about time I made some more chutney. There were 3 recipes I’ve been mulling over for a while, so this was the perfect opportunity, spicey Tomato…spicey Beetroot and spicey Curry. Out came the big pots…and it was time to stink the house out !
Most of the ingredients I have grown myself….. Onions..Beetroot… Garlic…Tomatoes…and of course, chillis.
Each chutney contains a mix of infinity,Naga Morich and Morouga chillis.
I wanted them to have the right amount of sweetness you find in a chutney, and plenty of heat….but not so much that it would blow your head off !
They taste great now, however as with all chutney…the flavour will improve as they mature. Should be just right about Xmas time with some cold meats and a good sharp cheese 🙂
