Chilli growing diary december update
Growing chillis can be an all year round hobby……. if we provide heat and light, with this in mind I have sown my first batch of seeds… ready for 2012.
As you can see in the following picture:
7 pot Infinity-7 pot Jonah-7 pot Brain-7 pot White
Trinidad Scorpion-Trinidad Scorpion Butch T-Trinidad Scorpion Morouga
And an unknown Naga
I have sown the seeds in small Rockwool blocks, and placed in a heated propagator.
The cubes will be kept moist by regular soaking and draining with water… Once the seeds sprout, the seedlings will go straight under blue LED lights. When I’m happy with their growth rate, they will be moved under daylight CFL’s.They will stay in the small Rockwool until they are almost rootbound, and then placed into larger Rockwool blocks.
A second batch will be sown on New Years Eve, with some Annums being sown at the end of January 2012.
I will try and keep this growing blog updated at regular intervals…. so please join me for what will hopefully be a great growing season in 2012 !!!
